I am a fly fishing guide, I have been running my intruder on eastern Long Island New York for the past 14 years. I cannot say enough about this amazing skiff. It has the ability to go in very shallow water, it’s incredibly stable, in the room and storage it provides are great features.
The skiff is also built with the highest quality. It is incredibly strong in rough water. If you hit a wave, the gunnels never shake and the deck is solid.
In addition to the quality of the skiff, the customer service is unbeatable. Glen has always been readily available to answer any questions or concerns that I have had over the years. He is both reliable and knowledgeable and has been a great resource.
I have fished on Long Island for my entire life, and I have and many boats. It is in my opinion that the Intruder is by far the best boat of its kind. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a skiff.

“I could not be happier with my purchase of a 23’ Intruder. The process with Glen was very open and transparent throughout. The communication was excellent, with frequent updates and photos along the way. This was much appreciated as I live out of state (in Florida). Glen runs a great operation, and other boat builders large and small could learn something from the way he does things.
The only thing better than the process is the boat itself. Going in I was well aware of the quality of the product, but I am still amazed at how stable, fast, and dry the boat runs. A lot of thought and refinement has gone into this design. On top of that, and some would say most importantly, the boat is beautiful.
I highly recommend Intruder Boats and Glen.
I purchased my Intruder to satisfy a need for a “do-all” boat that could raise fish just as easily from near shore reefs and ledges as it could from brackish creeks and freshwater lakes. This is the epitome of the Intruder. It’s neither a skiff, bay boat nor center console but has proven to be a perfectly proportioned hybrid of all three.
Funny thing is that I had not heard of the Intruder until I started researching other brands. In reviews and forum post of other manufacturers, the discussion always mentioned the superiority of the Intruder. It’s not many products that are marketed by their competitors.
Anyway, the reputation of the boat and the builder is well deserved. The order and build experience was not only easy, it was actually fun. Glen and Chuck were a pleasure to work with!
My Intruder experience was a dream come true in so many ways. My Intruder is one fine piece of boat design with fantastic performance, great functionality for fishing and duck hunting, and the customer service experience was nothing like I have experienced from any business I have ever dealt with.
Glen, many thanks for a very well built boat. My 2013 yellow 23′ Intruder runs really nice with the 150 Suzuki 4 stroke – fast, smooth, and quiet. Power pole, live bait well, jack plate, trim tabs – the perfect rig for the Indian River Lagoon in Florida and the Keys. Shallow water or offshore on a nice day – this is a fishing machine. It was a pleasure to watch the construction at your shop on Harkers Island and work with you on all the details. I recommend Intruder to all my friends.
I have been completely satisfied with my 23′ Intruder purchase.
It is the best riding, driest skiff I have ever been in. The fit and finish is super. Fishes like a dream. No regrets on my end, the whole process was painless. Wish I’d have pulled the trigger 3 years sooner.
(Also, my wife made the comment: ‘we can’t take the boat out without half the town wanting to check it out’).
